Founded in 1963, Jupiter Christian School (JCS) offers a Christ-centered, liberal-arts education to more than 1,000 students in Jupiter, Fla. In 2021 it opened a school 18 miles to the south in the Tamarind Avenue section of West Palm Beach. The new school is the product of a partnership between JCS and Urban Youth Impact, a youth nonprofit in the Tamarind community whose CEO is a JCS alum. JCS seeks to help students pursue academic excellence, innovation, and creativity; the school assists students in developing the knowledge and abilities that characterize critical thinking and a love for lifelong learning. JCS South launched with students in kindergarten and 1st grade. It will gradually introduce pre-K classes while adding one elementary grade each year until the campus reaches 5th grade in 2025-26. At that point students will have the opportunity to matriculate to the main campus in Jupiter for middle and high school.
