Kimberly Negron is the co-founder and CEO of The Light Preparatory Academy (TLPA), a pioneering Montessori STREAM school dedicated to equipping and empowering children to realize their God-given potential as creative genius. At TLPA, exploration, creativity, problem-solving and leadership are not just encouraged but woven into the fabric of daily learning experiences. With the launch of its preschool pilot program in spring 2024, TLPA has welcomed children aged 2-4 years old, and through the Drexel Founders program, Kimberly will complete the design and launch of a K-8 school within the Montessori STREAM model. Kimberly, a native of Miami, is a dedicated educator with a passion for lifelong learning. In her 20-year career in education, she has held many roles, including teacher, instructional coach, curriculum support specialist and assistant principal within Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Her academic journey includes earning a BS from the University of Miami, an MS from Barry University and an educational specialist degree from the University of West Florida.
