Travis Conway is a passionate nonprofit leader and educator with over a decade of hands-on experience serving children and families in Jupiter, Florida. As Executive Director of the Edna W. Runner Education Center, Travis leads with a commitment to equity, innovation, and community, overseeing a $1.5 million budget, a dynamic team, and programs that uplift youth academically, emotionally, and socially.
Travis began his journey at the Center in 2012 as a homework helper and quickly rose through the ranks—becoming a classroom teacher, Program Director, and now Executive Director. Under his leadership, the organization has strengthened its strategic direction, added key leadership roles, and expanded its vision to include launching a private elementary school.
He holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a Micro-Credential in Inclusion and Diversity from the American College of Education, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate degree in Elementary Education from Indian River State College. Travis has received numerous honors, including the 2020 Nonprofit Professional of the Year, 2021 Next Generation Aftercare Leader, and Aftercare Director of the Year by Prime Time of Palm Beach County.
Known for his humor, humility, and ability to connect across generations, Travis is especially proud of his work mentoring youth, honoring legacy leaders, and ensuring that families feel a deep sense of belonging at the Center. Outside of work, he enjoys supporting local collaborations, learning from elders like his Aunt Edna, and envisioning bold, creative ideas—like centennial dance relays and community storytelling campaigns—that celebrate the heart of his hometown.
