Latinas On the Verge of Excellence (L.O.V.E.) Mentoring Program, New York, NY

Claudia Espinosa is the visionary founder and Executive Director of the Latinas On the Verge of Excellence (L.O.V.E.) Mentoring Program. L.O.V.E. is a nonprofit organization that empowers young women in NYC through mentorship and health education. As a Drexel Fund Alternate Path program participant she is developing a model for a new, all-girls high school with a targeted launch date of fall 2028 in Miami, Florida. Originally from Cali, Columbia, Claudia moved to NYC in 2000 to study at the City University of New York, earning both a BA and MA in forensic psychology. She also holds an MA in public administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service as well as an EdM in school leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2023 Claudia completed her EdD from NYU Steinhardt and she is currently pursuing an MBA through Columbia University.
