Originally from New Orleans and rooted in Belle Glade, Florida, Tiffany Mickens is an educator dedicated to creating learning environments where children and families feel supported, challenged and connected. Through the Drexel Fund Alternate Path program is working toward The Neighborhood Village, a new, high-quality private school in rural Florida.
With more than 15 years of experience across schools and nonprofit organizations, she has served as a teacher, instructional leader, school administrator and educational consultant. Her work has included classroom teaching, curriculum design, school leadership, educator development and the creation of programs designed to expand opportunity and strengthen communities.
Tiffany holds an MA in educational leadership from Florida Southern College, an MA in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University and a BA in elementary education from Tuskegee University. She maintains Florida certifications in elementary education and educational leadership.
